Métabief, municipality of Haut-Doubs, is a winter sports family resort . Its inhabitants are called the Grey Cats.
Metabief is located 75 km south of Besancon, 20 km south of Pontarlier and 5 km from the Swiss border near Vallorbe.
Métabief provides access to the Mont d'Or (1463 meters), the culmination of the department of Doubs.

Since 2006, a new 6-seater chairlift gives access to the entire field and provides liaison with all sectors of Métabief tracks: "Paradise", "Super-Longevilles" and "Piquemiette".
