The resort of Vars is located at 1850 metres altitude, in the heart of the High Alps, in a high-mountain setting with protected natural surroundings including a vast larch forest. Its high altitude together with its privileged location (along with the sister resort Risoul) make this resort one of the best for snow coverage complete with a Mediterranean climate and sunlight.
