Ski lessons L'Alpe d'Huez Isère

Located 59 km away from Grenoble on the old alpine village of Huez, the resort of l'Alpe d'Huez is one of the largest ski areas in France with its 249 kms of trails and 800 skiable acres. L'Alpe d'Huez is also accessible by plain through its airfield built during the 10th Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble.

Its South orientation assures 300 days of sunshine per year.

It all started with the installation of a first ski lift in 1936. Today, the 80 lifts of the Grandes Rousses area are linking the towns of Auris en Oisans, Huez en Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany and Villard-Reculas. They provide access to a gradient of 2223 m from the Pic du Lac Blanc. It offers a stunning panorama of the surrounding peaks.
L'Alpe d'Huez also has the longest track in the world : a 16 kms black track which goes from 3300 m to 1500 m : the Sarenne !

For good level skiers and snowboarders with a an instructor, you must not miss the superb off-piste: la combe du loup, le grand sablat, roche-melon...

Entertainment: Every year, during five days in mid-January, runs the International Comedy Film Festival from l'Alpe d 'Huez.
